laser-cutting on bread
 EXHIBITED AT THE WOODS-GERRY GALLERY
The bread has been laser cut with two dichotomous symbols: the foot, a symbol of those who are deprived to education and are often sent to factories as children, and questions from an IQ test which are available to children who are born into more fortunate families. This is a critique on this opportunities given to children from different sectors of society based on nothing more than an accident of birth.
Sale of these prints were used to fund the education of young girls who work in bread factories in and around the city of Mumbai.
Extending the initiative to promote CoVID relief:
Homemade bread & tea were distributed across my neighborhood to the daily-wage workers who were unable to afford even a single meal after the nation-wide lockdown in India.
